American rap act, Yasiin Bey, formerly known as MosDef, says he is retiring from the music and entertainment industry.

Born Dante Smith, the Brooklyn rapper and actor, announced his retirement plans in a freestyle titled “No More Parties In S.A.”

The “No More Parties In S.A.,” which Kanye West released on his website, also addressed Bey’s detention in South Africa, where he has lived since 2013.

Earlier in January 2016, the rapper was arrested at Cape Town International airport for trying to leave the country using a world passport.

Bey ran into troubled waters as immigration officials not only declined accepting the passport, but also said Bey and his family had overstayed their visitor’s permit, which expired in April 2014.
He was granted bail but must return to court on March 8, 2016 and his family was given 14 days to leave the country.

In the freestyle, he raps: “I committed no crime anyplace / Why these police up in my face? / Why they raiding my place? / Why I don’t feel safe? / This is not an expression of fear / This is just to make things clear. ”

He also claims that there are “political motivations” behind they way he is being treated and denies using bogus travel documents.

Bey said he will release his final album this year.
